Installation method for wood wool acoustic panels

The general installation methods for wood fiber acoustic panels include two types: wall installation and ceiling installation.

The general installation methods for wood fiber acoustic panels include two types: wall installation and ceiling installation.

1. Wall Installation

a. Prepare the base surface thoroughly, ensuring it is dry and clean. Construction must not be carried out on a damp base surface. In enclosed conditions, damp or unclean surfaces can easily harbor unhealthy bacteria, leading to mold growth on walls.

b. In cases where there are joists, ordinary stainless steel nails are driven at an angle from the side of the wood fiber acoustic panel at a thickness of 20mm, while joists typically use nail guns.

c. For light steel studs, in high-rise buildings or where fire resistance requirements are high, if wooden studs are not permitted, use explosive screws with small wooden spacers to secure them to the light steel studs, then fix the wood fiber acoustic panels to the wooden panels.

d. If there are no studs on the wall, use silicone sealant or other adhesives to directly bond the wood fiber acoustic panels. If conditions permit, secure the edges with nail guns.

2. Ceiling Installation

A. For ordinary exposed or semi-exposed stud installations of wood fiber acoustic panels, the studs should be selected in

(600x600mm or 600x1200mm) sizes, with the specific choice depending on the weight of the wood fiber acoustic panels.

B. The installation method for ceiling joists is similar to that for wall joists; please refer to the joist installation method described above. When installing joists, safety helmets must be worn, safety belts secured, and work performed with multiple people cooperating.

C. After the joists are installed, wood fiber acoustic panels are typically secured to the joists using screws.
